Ludington House was built in 1895. It was designed by Henry R. Marshall for the Charles Ludington family. Charles’s daughter, Katherine “Kitty” Ludington resided in the manor for several decades. She was a founding leader of the League of Women Voters and a significant figure in the American women’s suffrage movement.
The property is located in the Old Lyme Historic District, convenient to I-95 and the mouth of the Connecticut River into Long Island Sound.
You may recognize Ludington House from the Hallmark Christmas film, “Christmas at Pemberly Manor.” The film was shot here in June of 2018- yes, all the snow is fake!

A note from the owner, Holly:
Hi, I’m Holly Cox. I moved to Ludington House in 2007 with my husband and four young children. They were raised in this home- one of the many reasons it’s so special to me.
Five years ago, I started renting some of Ludington House’s rooms on Airbnb. I saw how much my guests appreciated and enjoyed the property. Now that my kids are off living their lives, it’s time I opened up my home to you even more. It is truly a unique venue, and I want people to have the opportunity to make unforgettable memories here.
Hope to see you soon,
Holly
